I remember lots of articles being written in the early 2000's about the meteoric rise of Hush Puppies. The follow-up articles a few years later pointed out that they rode the trend and then didn't innovate styles beyond the initial re-launch. Sperry has avoided this by partnering with fashion designers to keep fresh and keep the product on trend. Great post and interesting tale of caution.
